OBSERVED:
I am a decorated Vietnam Veteran with a Purple Heart. I have developed
skills and senses that you lose while living a cozy civilian life.
In 1987 I went on a 3 day boy scout retreat with my two sons. I developed
a light sleeping pattern so I was brought out of my sleep by a strong odor
more pungent than a normal skunk. I sat up in the tent and the hairs
on my neck stood up and I sensed something wasn't right. I grabbed
my flashlight and crawled out of the tent. I did not turn it on right
away letting my eyes adjust to the dark. I heard branches cracking
so I aimed the flashlight in that direction. As soon as I turned
it on something let out a high pitched scream and you could hear the sound
of something moving fast making sounds as it broke branches and stepped
on forest floor covering. The rest of the scouts were aroused by
the scream and many were scared. The next day we surveyed the area
I directed the flashlight at and it was mostly rock covered with leaves
and branches. The ground was not soft enough to leave foot prints
but we did find broken saplings and disturbed leaves on the forest floor.
My instincts told me something powerful was out there in the dark and the
next day the signs around the area supported that feeling.

of Witness: Everyone was sleeping.
I was in a very light sleep mode. This sleeping pattern has been
supported by 3 separate sleep studies done over a 15 yr period.
